Your local library is always a great option for low cost activities to suit the whole family. The calendar at Kwinana Public Library is chock full of events and programs for children and people of all ages. Introduce the little ones to your favourite stories, let the kids explore the world of tech with a CoderDojo workshop, or simply jump online and make the most of the library’s resources and activities. Zone Out at the Youth Space
No parents allowed! The Zone Youth Space is the ultimate hang out for young people in Kwinana. Offering a great program of workshops, events and activities all year round, its the perfect place for teens to get out of the house these school holidays to learn new skills and socialise in a safe, positive environment.
Home to a multipurpose sports stadium, multimedia facilities, an art area and music rehearsal space, The Zone Youth Space caters for all interests and abilities. Outside School Hours Care
Working these school holidays? The amazing team at Wellard Primary School OSH Club are running a great program of educational activities for the kids from Monday 6th – Friday 17th July. On offer are activities such as arts and craft, a kid’s carnival, African safari and much more! All you have to do is pack lunch and drop your little one off in the safe hands of the friendly and experienced team for a day of fun and learning. Rockingham Beach School Holiday Program
Another great school holiday program option is the Rockingham YMCA, which caters for children aged 4-12 years in a safe and nurturing environment. With a program curated especially by kids for kids, these school holidays the Rockingham YMCA School Holiday Program has an awesome line up of activities on offer including a My Kitchen Rules cook off, puppet show, science day and African Drums incursion just to name a few! YMCA offer a flat daily fee whether it’s an incursion or excursion and a nutritious morning and afternoon tea is provided. Foxdale Riding School
If your kids love animals or if you’re looking to try something completely new, why not go horse riding? Just 11 minutes from home, Foxdale Riding School is open daily from 6am-6pm and offers casual rides for both beginners and experienced riders as well as pony rides for the little ones.
For a full day of horseriding fun, immerse your child in either a group lesson or day camp at Foxdale. The kids will learn the basics of horse care, grooming and feeding and get to participate in group riding lessons. The perfect outdoor activity to get the kids out of the house, take part in something new and take advantage of the winter sunshine! Make a splash in the Kwinana Recquatic Holiday Swim Program, there are a few places remaining! This is a great opportunity to help your child gain swimming confidence and develop skills in a fun and intensive swim school format. Boredom Busters at Waikiki Village Shopping Centre
Waikiki Village Shopping Centre has boredom sorted these school holidays with the return of their highly anticipated Boredom Busters School Holiday Fun program. Keep an eye out on their Facebook page here for the official program (released any day now!) which is guaranteed to keep the kids occupied with a range of creative art activities that are sure to inspire some marvellous creations.

Dial in to the Kwinana Public Library’s Rhymetime and Storytime sessions which are currently being held online due to social distancing measures. Perfect for those rainy days, a vibrant program of classics, current stories and singalongs are on offer for children 0-5 years and is a fun activity for your little one to develop their literacy skills at home. Paint and Play
