This one is for the ladies! Gather your girlfriends, because we’ve put together a collection of the best places to eat, explore and sleep at in the Swan Valley to make for a beautiful weekend together.

Kick start your day with a brunch at…

Slate Café
Opened by a family of self-proclaimed coffee snobs, Slate Café serves up epic coffee alongside delectable eats with a hint of Vietnamese influence. The space is relaxed and cosy yet spacious all at the same time and with its dedicated doggy playground, you and the girls can swoon over pups galore while you fuel up for your day of activities together.

Yahava Koffeeworks
If the ladies are after a lighter start to the day, this is the perfect spot. With their sole focus being coffee, they pour their heart and soul into creating the finest cuppa. They always have a selection of beans to choose from at any one time, so there will be something to suit all the fuss pots in the group because no group of girls ever order the same coffee, let’s be honest! To accompany the coffee, they offer a selection of smaller sweet and savouries if you wanted to save room for that winery lunch later.

Maison Saint Honoré
A French delight in the Swan Valley, what’s not to love?! Started all the way back in 2010 as a dedicated macaron maker, Maison Saint Honoré offer delicate patisserie treats served alongside an assortment of quintessentially French delights like the classic crepe, you’ll feel like you’re in Paris for the morning.

Shop til you drop
Nothing says girls’ weekend like a bit of retail therapy, so once you’re energised from brunch, a spot of shopping for local delights in nearby Guildford is the perfect activity. The iconic James Street is heaving with all things vintage and antique so there’s bound to be a unique gem to be found. Dotted between the antique shops you’ll find places offering locally designed and made art and crafts so you can support local at the same time. Staying in the Swan Valley for shopping still gives you plenty of options too. The Swan Valley Central is the regions newest boutique shopping destination housing an array of quality retail and service providers for you and the girls to peruse.

Ladies who lunch
You must be hungry again after all that retail therapy! Luckily there’s an array of amazing eateries to choose from in the region to quench your hunger and entice your tastebuds. With so many it was hard for us to choose just a few, but we did our best to deliver you our unmissables…

Wild Swan at Mandoon Estate
This one is for the ladies who love luxury. Settle down inside the immaculate space overlooking the expansive and beautifully kept gardens and the lawn of the estate. This contemporary fine dining experience is sure to leave you all impressed and very content. To view the menu and to book a table visit https://mandoonestate.com.au/eat-drink/wild-swan

Sandalford Winery
Celebrating a pairing of modern Australian with traditional Italian cuisine, The Sandalford Bar and Restaurant create dishes full of flavour and local, seasonal produce. Offered in conjunction with an extensive and quality beverage menu, even the most discerning diner in the group will be delighted. The venue itself is another delight with a tranquil, leafy ambience and expansive vineyard views for you to marvel at over lunch. Feral Brewing Company

For a more relaxed atmosphere and some hearty pub grub, it’s hard to go past Feral. The team at Feral brew a range of unique beers to be enjoyed by all, but for the ladies who enjoy strictly wine, they’ll look after you too. They offer a range of modern Australian food with a thought for seasonality and local produce, all to be enjoyed in either their sprawling beer garden or warm and comfortable restaurant so it’s a welcoming stop rain, hail or shine.

Relax and unwind…
The group is sure to need some down time after being out and about exploring the wonders of the Swan Valley all day and where better to do so than at a relaxing day spa. The Swan Valley Retreat is a secluded paradise where you can enjoy the pampering you all deserve. Whether it’s a massage, rejuvenating facial or restorative float therapy you’re after, this retreat has it all making it a must do stop on your girls tour of the Swan Valley.

Sleepover club!
Whether the girl gang is after a quaint cottage or a crisp hotel room, there are heaps of different accommodation options to suit all budgets, tastes and requirements. If you want to make the most of room service while you enjoy your face masks together, we recommend checking out The Sebel Swan Valley, The Vines. Aintree Cottage is a beautiful 1910 structure that has been renovated to give you all the modern comforts in which to enjoy the cheeses and wine you picked up throughout the day. Set amongst the trees on a spacious rural property it’s a self-contained delight.  For quality mid-range accommodation in an ideal location, The Swan Valley Sisters has you covered with four quaint self-contained chalets nestled on a family vineyard estate.

Walk it off
After all of yesterday’s indulgence, take a stroll along one of the Swan Valley’s enchanted walking trails for the perfect start to your Sunday. Bells Rapids Trail is a scenic and gentle 2.5km loop alongside the stream. For something slightly more challenging, head to the Statham’s Quarry Walk at Gooseberry Hill where you will experience spectacular views of the Darling Scarp and other wonders along the way. Whiteman Park is another great place to visit for a stroll as they have a range of paths in their expansive natural bushland that will suit anyone in the group.
