The Cook Government announcement of a $522 million increase to the $400 million Housing Enabling Infrastructure Fund will accelerate essential housing supply in key project areas for Parcel Property, providing opportunities for Western Australians to move into their new homes faster.

The Housing Enabling Infrastructure Fund includes key Perth metro growth corridors East Wanneroo and North Ellenbrook and will enable vital works to provide sewerage, water and power to these areas, assisting the delivery of tens of thousands of new homes in Perth and unlocking opportunities for first home builders.

This comes at an exciting time for Parcel Property, with the recent launch of Oldfield Station in North Ellenbrook set to host 5,000 homes, around 15,000 people and create nearly 2,000 ongoing jobs.

Parcel Property General Manager Jeremy Cordina thanks the WA Government for its proactive approach to funding these projects.

“Funding like this is a critical component in unlocking much-needed housing supply across the Perth metro area,” Mr Cordina said.

“Demand for new housing continues to grow, especially in key growth corridors.

“Today’s announcement shows what can be achieved when government and industry work together with a shared focus on long-term community outcomes.”

Speaking about the recently unveiled Oldfield Station, he said:

“Parcel Property’s vision is to create a vibrant neighbourhood for residents with green spaces and waterways, schools, local shops and dining.

“Importantly, the design of the Oldfield Station community will respect the site’s environmental, heritage and hydrological characteristics, ensuring these elements are thoughtfully integrated into the development as the site evolves over time.”
